Tom Levin Schwenzle, born and raised in the south of Germany, got his first camera at the age of five, and his first video camera at twelve — the same age he taught himself to program, eventually even hacking into the firmware of his camera. That mix of curiosity never went away: a fascination with technology, and an equal fascination with images — making them, shaping them, taking them apart to see how they work. He founded his own production company while still in school, turning that early curiosity into a working career before most people finish their studies.

His work has taken him across some of the biggest stages in the industry — as project manager for the lighting design of the Opening Ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo in 2025, on ceremonies for the Africa Cup of Nations and the Islamic Solidarity Games, on tour with artists such as Apache207 and Shirin David, on television with Germany's Next Topmodel, in sport with the Longines Global Champions Tour, and on major events such as Bavaria Sounds. None of that happens alone. These are productions built by large international crews, and Tom is used to working across cultures and time zones — with teams from the US, the UK, the Middle East and Asia, and alongside established lighting designers such as Roland Greil, Rob Koenig or Tim Routledge.

He studied Audiovisual Media at the Media University of Stuttgart before completing a Master's in Management at the Technical University of Munich.

For Tom, a show is never just technology executing correctly. Every cue, every fixture, every push of a button exists to serve what's happening on stage or on the screen — the artist, the music, the moment, the story — never the other way around.

It's a technical and creative system-thinking: precision and structure in service of the story.
